Newspapers should report typical events, because these
enlighten the reader about what the world is like. They should
not engage in gossip or purvey gloom the way bourgeois newspapers
do.

For example, consider airplane crashes. These are typical
of capitalist countries, because the greedy companies
increasingly ignore safety in ther lust for profits. Therefore,
airplane crashes in capitalist countries should be given the
utmost publicity as a part of educating the people about the true
nature of these countries. Socialist countries do not typically
have airplane crashes, because everyone involved in making and
operating airplanes is working for the people and understands
the importance of safety. Of course, Communism hasn't been
reached, and crashes occasionally occur. Reporting such crashes
depresses people and is unnecessary unless there is some special
reason.

Politically immature people sometimes play into the hands
of the enemies of socialism and propose to compare the number of
crashes in socialist and capitalist countries. This is wrong.
In the first place, it is typical for the capitalists to conceal
crashes in order to protect the greedy companies. Therefore,
such comparisons wouldn't be accurate. Moreover, it is entirely
appropriate to consider the occasional crash in a socialist
country as a state secret when this is feasible in order not
to play into the hands of the class enemy.

	Got it?
